One of the most active and longest-running societies on campus. We delivering social events, industry connections, professional development and unforgettable experiences for all UTAS students.

About TUES

The Tasmanian University Engineering Society (TUES) is a student-led organisation representing students at the University of Tasmania. Established in 1924, we have over a century of history building community among engineering students at UTAS.

While centred around engineering, our society is open to all UTAS students, allowing us to engage a broad and diverse student community. We are one of the most active societies on campus, delivering social events, industry engagement, professional development and academic support initiatives.

In 2025, TUES was recognised as one of the largest societies on campus, hosting several of the university's biggest events including Engi Laneway, which attracts over 900 attendees.

Our goal is to create a strong student community while connecting students with industry and new experiences both on and off campus.
